Highway 34 is closed at milepost 47 due to storm damage.
“There’s a lot of debris in the road, water in the road, trees and branches,” said Capt. Greg Ridler of the Benton County Sheriff’s Office.
Ridler said it wasn’t clear how long the highway might be blocked.

The problem area is between Philomath and Alsea, about a mile west of the turnoff for Marys Peak Road.
Highway 34 is the main route between Corvallis and Waldport.
